RBA Scholarships

On June 2 the Rutland Business Association presented $1,000 checks to Scott Pryor, Robert Tarani, and Adam Fuller.  The RBA sponsors a golf tournament each August with all the proceeds going toward the scholarships.  The funds are awarded to applicants pursuing a degree in business or who need assistance purchasing tools to go into a vocation.

Adam Fuller, a graduate of Bay Path Vocational Technical High School, is pursuing a degree in advanced automotive technology at the New England Institute of Technology.

Robert Tarani graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in June and will attend the Universal Technical Institute in Norwood, majoring in auto diesel mechanics.

Scott Pryor is a graduate of WRHS and is a junior at Fitchburg State College where he majors in business management.

Red Sox Raffle

Congratulations to our winners Paul and Marge McGrath of Jefferson!

On July 4 the RBA raffled Red Sox tickets to a July game versus the Baltimore Orioles.  Cherylann Gengel and The Grand Slam Cafe' donated the Red Sox box seat tickets.  Clea and Nancy Blair donated the limo and a bottle of champagne as well as two more Red Sox tickets.  The McGraths also received dinner at a fine Boston restaurant.  500 books of tickets were printed - all were sold.  Paul had never attended a Red Sox game at Fenway Park.

The Fourth Of July Float

The easy part!!!

The sign!

Think, think, think!

Modifications need to be made!

The day after the parade, the float survived the rain (showing its age), now to take it apart!
